Now, women all over are embracing their curves, and surprisingly, we have the media to thank for that––especially Aerie campaign’s brand representative Iskra Lawrence. Lawrence has taken to Instagram to reshape America’s image of beauty by posting unedited photos and videos of herself with #AerieReal. Tim Gunn of Project Runway is involved in the movement as well, and openly condemns designers who refuse to make clothes that fit all shapes and sizes.
Nike Takes Steps Towards Sustainability
Nike recently announced on its website that it will be changing its company layout going forward in hopes of a more sustainable future. Now, Nike is using “environmentally preferred rubber formulations,” keeping a closer eye on vendor practices, phasing out hazardous chemicals and encouraging better communication amongst the general workers and the leadership of their factories.
