Track Jackets

While jean jackets are still all the rage, another super chic alternative is on the rise––track jackets. These light, comfortable jackets are easy to incorporate into almost any look. For instance, throw on an Adidas or Puma bomber for a casual, everyday look. For a more upscale-chic style––on a college budget of course––check out Zara’s bomber collection. If you are more of a vintage lover, check out Asos’ awesome vintage track jacket collection, Marketplace.

Throw on your bomber with workout leggings for class, or with your favorite pair of high waisted skinnies for a night out. Either way, they can make even the most casual of outfits look put-together!

Velvet

Velvet, velvet everywhere! Velvet is the hottest fabric now for any and every garment out there. After taking over the runway during New York, London, Paris and Milan fashion weeks, this opulent fabric has become a staple in any fashionista’s wardrobe. It-girls have been sporting the fabric in almost every form imaginable: pants, shirts, slips, shoes, lingerie and more.

As the holiday’s approach, the luxe fabric is only becoming more popular as people scurry to put together the perfect outfits. So, go out and grab your velvet everything because this trend is not going away anytime soon. For a source of inspiration, check out this link.

Chokers

For all the ’90s kids who got teary-eyed when tattoo chokers were put back on the racks, you will be happy to hear that your days of nostalgia are not even close to over. In fact, chokers seem to be a trend that we can’t get enough of!

The chokers are back and better than ever. With its revival, the piece changed from just a juvenile fad to an upscale trend. Now sold in today’s hottest materials––velvet, leather, lace, silk and metals––the accessory is enough to add the perfect amount of ’90s edge to any look.

Tommy Hilfiger

This brand brought itself back to the trendy marketplace by having popular supermodel Gigi Hadid co-design his 2016 Fall Ready-To-Wear collection. With Hadid’s assistance, Hilfiger rose to iconic status once again with a mix of an edgy and preppy aesthetic––one which generally accommodates most personal styles. Now, Hilfiger is hedging his way into a younger fashion market through expanding his sales to stores like Urban Outfitters.

Backpacks

Backpacks are back, and they are more than just a sack for your books. Instead, backpacks have become the go-to bag for models-off-duty and everyday it-girls. The backpack has become a fashion statement––one that probably thrills your chiropractor––and it is suitable for any cool-girl style.

Today’s hottest backpacks incorporate the biggest fashion trends including velvet, leather, lace and embroidery. Show your personality through your backpack by choosing a look that suits your overall style: edgy, boho, preppy or chic.

Beauty Trend: Vamp Lips

As everyone fawns over the beautiful, and many times unexpected clothing that dominates the runway during fashion week, it is easy to overlook makeup trends. These trends, however, put the aesthetic of the show together, and are pulled directly from the runway into celebrity street-style.

One of the biggest makeup trends seen on the Fall 2016 runway shows was the vamp lip. These dark lip colors, namely deep berries and reds, are a classic for the cold winter season. But this year the trend has become even darker, incorporating blacks and deeper hues. Check out this list for some suggestions of the best brands of lipsticks.
