With the weather getting chillier and the days getting shorter, fall is the perfect season to curl up in bed and watch some TV. While there are many incredible TV shows that are set in the fall or simply have an autumnal aura, these three shows are the best of the best.

  1. It is impossible to make a list of the best fall shows without including “Gilmore Girls.” Set in quaint fictional town of Stars Hollow in Connecticut, it seems as if it is perpetually fall, the characters always in turtlenecks and drinking hot beverages from Luke’s dinner. For the first half of the show, Rory’s main prerogative is to attend Yale University. There is something about the Ivy League, light academia aesthetic that is quintessentially fall. With the perfect fall backdrop, Gilmore Girls is an essential seasonal watch.

  2. “Gossip Girl” thrives off the drama created at the Constance Billard and St. Judes high schools that the characters attend and what’s more fall than high school? Additionally, no one does Thanksgiving like “Gossip Girl.” Arguably the best teen drama ever created, “Gossip Girl” perfectly encapsulates the drama that occurs during the numerous family holidays that take place during fall. Getting to watch the drama unfold at their Thanksgiving dinner tables from the comfort of your own home makes for the ideal fall show.

  3. A show that isn’t always associated with fall, but is a great watch for the season, is “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” It’s no surprise that Amy Sherman Palladino, the creator of “Gilmore Girls,” was able to create an equally wonderful fall show. “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is the show to watch when you need a laugh. With school, work, and generally life ramping up during fall, it’s always important to have an emotional release and this show is perfect for that. With its quick comedy and relatable family dynamics, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” will be able to provide ample entertainment and laughs all throughout the cold season of fall.
