As the leaves change into a rusty orange and denim shorts are traded in for knit sweaters, the sweltering heat and rambunctious buzzing of BU Splash may seem like a distant memory. Nevertheless, with over 450 student-run organizations, every attendee is bound to come across at least one they have never seen before. Even though the briskness of routine schedules has replaced the sunshine of Splash, it is not too late to participate in clubs that you may have glanced over or discover new ones!

If you daydream of embodying Ben Stiller in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, put on your favorite sweatband because BU Dodgeball Club has you covered. This club is open to all BU students to engage in a fierce—but fun-loving and safe—battle of this classic game.

Upcoming Event: Games every Tuesday: 6:00-7:00 p.m., FitRec.

If you jump at any excuse to whip out an Ouji board or if the Area 51 raid of 2019 was your personal Superbowl, the Society of Sci-fi and Horror at BU may be for you. This BU club hosts weekly discussions and movie screenings related to conspiracy, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror - open to all consumers of the genre.

Upcoming Event: Sci-Fi Movie Screening: October 28th, 7:00-9:30 p.m., CAS B12.

BU’s literary magazine and poetry club aims to uplift and celebrate the thought-provoking writing of BU students. All students are welcome to submit writing for potential publication, perform or listen at open mic nights, and bring in pieces for writer’s workshops.

Upcoming Event: Writer’s Workshop: October 17th, 6:00-7:00 p.m., CGS 113.

The African Student Organization (ASO) is a support network for African students at BU, providing a space for inclusion, cultural reciprocity, and community. ASO hosts events open to all BU students throughout the school year, ranging from educational, political, and celebratory.

Upcoming Event: Halloween Game Night: October 25th, 6:30-8:30 p.m., GSU alley.

The Queer Activist Collective at BU aims to provide support and advocacy for all members of the LGBTQ+ community, with a dedication to those marginalized from mainstream LGBTQ+ spaces. They host a wide range of events, including allyship workshops, know-your-rights seminars, and drag shows.

Upcoming Event: Aro/Ace dinner: October 18th, 6:30 p.m., Terrace Lounge.
