Despite spring still being in full swing, the end of the school year is almost upon us, and we’re already thinking about what we’ll be wearing to all the concerts, pool parties and family vacations that fill our summer calendars. As temperatures begin to rise, it’s time that we add some up-and-coming trends into our wardrobes. Even if you haven’t thought about what you’re going to wear when you get out of bed today, better yet what you’ll be wearing in the coming months, here you’ll find some inspiration on trends we’re most excited about for the hot season.

Gucci

Although Gucci has been world renowned for nearly a century, this luxury brand has become a full-blown trend in 2017, proving its timelessness. Fashion bloggers and models from all over the world have picked up on this trend ever since Gucci released its fall 2016 collection. Gucci released pieces with unique, hand-embroidered appliques and now the rose embroidered applique has appeared on countless handbags, sneakers, denim, jackets and blouses. This trend only seems to be picking up heat as we head into the summer season. More affordable retailers like Zara and Forever 21 currently have added many pieces to their collections that contain the Gucci-inspired embroidery.

Additionally, Gucci accessories have become a staple for both men and women lately, such as their leather loafers, handbags and belts. The Gucci backless loafers have become a major street style trend sported by both males and females, offering an elegant and polished look that will be perfect to wear when temperatures warm up. Fashion bloggers have also been rocking the Dionysus shoulder bag, and retailers have been releasing affordable dupes as they have spiked in popularity recently. Lastly, Gucci has released leather belts with their classic gold “Double G” logo buckle that come in an array of colors. Expect to see these belts paired with distressed shorts, denim skirts and high-waisted jeans this summer!

Mules

Flat or heeled, mules have become an everyday essential that are sure to be a hit this summer. Whether they are kitten or blocked heeled, open-toed or closed-toed, all it takes is to slip on these effortless shoes to make your whole outfit chic and fashion forward. Brands like Jeffrey Campbell, ASOS and Steve Madden offer styles that are guaranteed to compliment any look.

Tinted Frames

It’s time to forget about flower crowns and fringe when heading to a music festival this year. Vintage aviator frames/readers were a huge trend this past year, and now that festival season has approached, people have taken a spin on this trend by incorporating aviator sunglasses with tinted lenses into their summer looks. This trend offers a perfect combination of wearing a pair of sunnies and normal frames. Fashion icons like Hailee Steinfeld and Josephine Skriver have already been spotted flaunting this trend around Coachella this year.

Biker Chic

This season, many celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Halsey and Rihanna are showing off their biker chic styles. This edgy and gothic trend includes wearing t-shirts, hoodies and jeans printed with flames and trying out fishnet socks and tights. Brands like Thrasher have become popular with their flame-printed t shirts and hoodies, and retailers everywhere have been selling fishnet socks and tights in multiple colors. If you’re looking to pull of an edgier vibe this summer, incorporating flame prints and fishnets will give you an automatic biker-chic look.

Beauty Trend: Monochromatic Makeup

This technique involves coordinating your lips, cheeks and eyes by keeping the same shade. This has become a huge red carpet trend over the past several months, as it’s easy to accomplish––as long as you find a flattering shade for your skin tone! Makeup brands like Colourpop have come out with collections that are monochromatic; their new blushes, lipsticks and eyeshadows all come in the same shade range of beige, pink, nude and orange.
