If you’re like us, and still waiting for the first flowers of spring to emerge, try out some of these fresh streaming “picks” instead of picking daisies to pass the last few cold nights of the season.
Altered Carbon premiered last month. This sci-fi drama takes place more than 300 years in the future, and is a cyberpunk, dystopian dream based on a Richard K. Morgan book of the same name. There’s only 10 episodes, so it’s easy to churn through in a weekend. Watch it on Netflix.
The Young Victoria offers to fill the gap for those who binged The Crown in the last few snowstorms and is still looking for royal-family content to indulge on. It’s a 2009 period drama starring Emily Blunt as the young Queen Victoria, and follows her marriage to her husband and the beginning of her legendary rule. It is also available on Netflix.
2017’s live-action Power Rangers film is available to stream starting this week. If you didn’t catch it when it premiered in theaters, now’s your chance. The cast is diverse, the storyline stays true to the kitschy rangers of your childhood, but with a modern sci-fi boost. It’s available on Hulu and Amazon Prime.
The Roseanne reboot premiers Mar. 27st and promises to bring back characters from the beloved 80s sitcom into the modern day; but the same infectious Roseanne laugh, snarky humor and marital melodrama is still the same. It will be available to stream on Hulu the day after its premiere.
