Arguably one of the toughest music genres to succeed in, holiday music can easily be a hit or miss. Too often, modern interpretations of Christmas favorites seem redundant, forgetful or even insulting. With acts like Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé, new holiday music needs to be original and catchy enough to attract listeners. Per usual, there are a slew of new Christmas albums that were released in 2018 filled with renditions of classic hits and even some holiday-inspired originals. The following are songs that impressively stand out in the crowded genre and are worth a listen as we approach the holidays. Click here to listen to the playlist.
