Boston is the quintessential fall city. Everything about it — the historic architecture, beautiful foliage, close proximity to Salem — is right out of your favorite movie. Here are some of my newest favorite spots to fall in love with in Boston!
$7 Alamo Tuesdays! (Seaport)
For when it gets cold out and you don’t want to break the bank, the Alamo Drafthouse has $7 movie tickets on Tuesdays. Then you get a meal and a show, all for a way discounted price. Plus this fall, they are showing Halloween classics!
Cafe Weekend (specifically their Mascarpone French Toast)
This is a newer find for me. I ordered Cafe Weekend for breakfast after much convincing from my roommates and my life was changed. It’s a super easy spot if you’re located in Allston, with all the breakfast classics and a top-tier sweets selection (including a s’mores croffle!).
Hecate (Back Bay)
The perfectly spooky and mysterious speakeasy. It’s a bit of a challenge to find, but worth the hunt! Hint: pay close attention to the doors and alleys around you.
La Posada (Somerville)
Latin cuisine with a curated fall-themed drink menu (mocktails too!). The bar itself is casual but decked out in Halloween decor, ready to serve fall with plenty of pumpkin-spice cocktails.
Clear Flour Bakery + Coffee Bar (Brookline)
A total Brookline staple! Clear Flour has two sides to it: half coffee shop and half fresh bakery with rotating treats. This, mixed in with the Brookline autumn ambiance, is one of my absolute favorite pairings.
Petit Robert (South End)
You get a lovely street patio and charcuterie all in one spot. Need I say more?
Earls Kitchen + Bar - Winter Wonder Lounge and Halloween party (Prudential Center)
Earls has big plans this cold season, planning to turn the restaurant into a total winter wonderland. While this may be a bit further down the line, you should know what’s in store! The two-story restaurant is planned to be decked out in holiday decor — including hot chocolate and mini trees on its heated patio. Come in for a specialty winter drink menu, daily happy hour and a lot of holiday spirit.
The Boston Public Library (Back Bay)
Okay we all know about this one, but it needed to be here. Take the T to Copley one day and spend your study hours at the BPL; it’s the best spot to people-watch and really take in the changing seasons. Then, when you’re done, you can treat yourself to one of Back Bay’s many restaurants or coffee shops.
