Finals week is approaching, which means long review sessions, late nights, lack of sleep, caffeine overconsumption, and…no seats at Mugar Memorial Library. Here’s where to study instead.

First on the list is located in Coolidge Corner, and is open until 9 p.m. L.A. Burdick Handmade Chocolates offers premium chocolates and desserts, and plenty of seating for yourself and friends. A must-try includes their milk hot chocolate with two espresso shots, which typically gets me through a couple of hours of studying.

Central Perk Coffee Co, which is also open until 9 p.m., is located right in the heart of Newbury Street. Wind down after a day of shopping by taking a seat at this Friends-inspired cafe to spend time catching up and reviewing with friends. The menu features seasonal drinks and snacks, with lattes averaging around $6.

Located just a 15-minute walk from East Campus, Trident Booksellers & Cafe is open until 10 p.m. every day. Choose a quiet nook near their expansive collection of books to study, or head to their cafe area for a booth and some snacks. The bookstore typically offers student bundles on food, making coffee and late-night pancakes more affordable for your study sessions.

Also closing at 10 p.m., Caffe Bene is located just off the underground Symphony station. Offering a wide variety of food options, they’re most known for their sweet treats. The cafe is the perfect place to try a new dessert with your friends, then spend time reviewing for exams. Similar to Trident, Caffe Bene’s total per person hits just about $20.

Next, Jaho Coffee Roaster’s $4 espresso is certain to get you through your evening review sessions. Closing at 11 p.m. every day, Jaho offers extensive seating and affordable coffee and matcha options to give you motivation through your studying. Located off Back Bay, it’s accessible by T, making it the perfect spot just off campus.

Some of the best study spots off campus just happen to be a few coffee shops scattered about the city. Happy studying!
