If you've been on TikTok recently, you’ve likely seen a variety of videos describing their newest fashion finds or affordable “dupes,” but what is that?

A dupe is essentially a duplicate of a higher end fashion item. The twist is that the dupe is actually from a more affordable site, but has the same qualities or appearance as the original. If you’re like me, this is right up your alley. I am always looking to stay up-to-date in the fashion world, but often have a hard time affording it. That’s where the power of these dupe finds come in.

If you’re lost, do not fret. Here are some of the most popular dupes circling around TikTok at the moment.

Aritzia vs. Amazon Dupes

Perhaps the most popular trend is the Aritzia vs. Amazon dupe finds. Of course we all love Aritzia and the clean chic trend it has encouraged; however, we all know it’s a bit pricey. Aritzia effortless pants are currently sold at $148, but much cheaper look-alike trousers can be found on Amazon for just $32. Similarly, the trendy Aritzia blazer sold for $228 can also be “duped” and found on Amazon for $55.

Lululemon vs. Target

If you’re looking for some affordable yet trendy athletic wear, you’re in luck! The internet has found some handy and well-priced Lululemon dupes at your local Target. The famous Lululemon Align Tank can currently be found at $68, but the Target dupe can be found for $20 or less! Additionally, the Align Bodysuit from Lululemon is currently sold on their website for $148, but Target also sells a dupe for just $35. Catch me running to Target!

These dupes aren’t just for fashion, but for skincare and makeup too.

Milk Hydro Grip Primer vs. E.L.F. Power Grip Primer

The Milk primer is currently sold for $36, whereas the E.L.F. primer can be found at $10. That’s a deal if I have ever seen one!

Charlotte Tilbury Tinted Lip Balm vs. Quo Beauty Plumping Lip Butter

The Charlotte lip balm is currently sold for $35 a piece; however, the Quo lip butter is sold for just $14 and can be found at your local drugstore.

Dupes are a great way to stay up-to-date with the latest fashion and makeup trends, while still sparing your bank account. If you’re worried about quality, be sure to check out more TikToks for real reviews and try-ons. Happy shopping!
