I am willing to bet that if you go up to a random person on the street and ask who they think the most famous person in the world is right now, more times than not, they would respond with “Taylor Swift.” From her music to The Eras Tour and all the events she attends, she is seemingly everywhere. The amount of attention she can garner just by posting an Instagram story is honestly a tad bit frightening, yet simultaneously very exciting. It truly is Taylor’s world, and we are all just living in it.

When Taylor Swift announced that she was going to re-record her past records to obtain the master rights for all of her music, society changed. Fans got to relive the excitement of listening to their favorite music for the first time, but this time, with additional vault tracks. Everything she announces or releases has a tremendous opportunity to trend and chart, unlike anything else.

While she re-releases old songs and continues to make new music, Taylor is simultaneously putting on the tour of the century. Concerts are my favorite thing in the world, and even though she quite literally broke Ticketmaster, I was one of the lucky ones who got to experience The Eras Tour live. It was a mind-blowing performance and a fantastic production. Even if you don’t know any of her songs, which would be impressive considering she is practically unavoidable, you would still leave the concert speechless.

She is so powerful that she can cause traffic jams just by going out in public. Whether she is attending a wedding or a football game, thousands of people will go to a location hoping to see even a glimpse of her. Every time she goes out to eat with friends, it only takes seconds for paparazzi photos to be splayed across the internet.

Taylor Swift dominates the music industry but also the world. Her tour has helped boost the economy and the careers of her opening acts, and she loves to keep fans on the edge of their seats as they wait for her iconic easter eggs. I always love seeing whatever she does, and whether you’re a Swiftie or not, it is undeniable: Taylor Swift is one of the most influential figures in the world right now.
