NOAH KAHAN: CONCERT REVIEW

An electrifying night at OVO Arena Wembley, thanks to Noah Kahan

You may be among the millions who have had the song “Stick Season” stuck in their head since its release in July 2022. Or, you may be a fan who has been excitedly following along with the release of star-studded features as part of “Stick Season (Forever).” Either way, it’s safe to say you probably know Noah Kahan.

Even though he has been putting out music since 2017, the past two years have been paramount for the Grammy-nominated artist, and he has seen massive growth. This past week, Kahan played two shows at OVO Arena Wembley as part of his “We’ll All Be Here Forever UK/EU Tour,” and since I am studying abroad in London, I was able to attend his February 15th show.

Kahan put on an electric performance that had everyone in the audience screaming each lyric. There weren’t any crazy effects like fireworks or confetti, just pure talent. Plus, there were two surprise guests: James Bay and Ben Howard.

Sometimes, artists don’t sound as good live, but that was not the case for Kahan. He is remarkably talented, and while he jokes about making people sad because of his lyricism, everyone left with grins ear to ear.

While the intent behind buying concert tickets was to hear him perform live, I am also a proud concert nerd and love exploring new venues.

As you make your way to the arena and get off the tube, you are guided right toward Wembley Stadium, surrounded by different restaurants and pubs that make perfect pre-show stops. OVO Arena Wembley, with a capacity of up to 12,500 people, is right next to Wembley Stadium. It’s considered a “small” venue, yet it feels massive when its pit is packed with people. Although my seats were nearing nosebleeds, I would undoubtedly go back.

Noah Kahan put on an unforgettable show and even included bits of comedic relief due to his sarcastic nature. Everyone should see him live at least once, and I know I will be back at his next tour.
